Jolly's come from Odessa, the seaport of Ukraine, is a generous place.

Jolly’s band confesses that once they discovered Irish music, Ireland was born within them. Valeria Mazurenko’s days are unthinkable without her Irish whistle and bodhrán (pronounced as “bow-rown”), an Irish frame drum played with a stick called cipĂn. Evgeny Falin contrasts the earthy rhythms of the drum with his flying violin, while Nikolai Mazurenko, the guitarist, gives that final touch of charm with his voice. The war has put Dmitry Svirduk’s double-bass on a pause: all he knows and loves in life is music, yet he is now a conscript in the Ukrainian army. Jolly’s band will play the music they love, for their and our freedom and happiness.

Even before the gig starts, Invisible City guarantees a minimum of 100 euros to the artist no matter what. This is our investment into the performance which provides a safety net for the artist. We make sure it is never a lottery! These funds come from reinvesting the donations from the previous performances as well as from our private sponsors who support Invisible City directly (here is how you can become one).
What the campaign receives above the 100 euro mark, we share with the artist in equal parts. In this way, we provide a guaranteed income to the artist while staying sustainable and helping more artists run more wonderful gigs.
